The current edition of the Lonely Planet Guide to Lisbon describes the Portuguese capital as a “city armed with Gothic grit and glamour” and we wholeheartedly agree.  Any visitor lucky enough to spend an extended stay in Lisbon should explore the historical charm of Belem, the modern attractions of Parque das Nações, and the hidden secrets of Graça.  However, our guide is focused on Lisbon’s central, most gay-friendly neighborhoods: Bairro Alto, Chiado, BaixaPrincipe Real, and Alfama.
