In the mood for an excellent Thai meal? Go to Mestiço. That is an easy recommendation in a city with a small number of Thai options. (RIP Thai Gardens in Pinheiros. We still miss you.)
But, Mestiço does not win the prize for best Thai restaurant by default. The quality of its food, with artfully blended ingredients, continues to rival restaurants of all nationalities. The word mestiço means “of mixed race” and the restaurant’s menu has influences of Brazilian cuisine throughout every plate.
Mestiço attracts a diverse clientele and gets crowded on the weekends, yet it maintains an atmosphere of fine dining.
