Once you’ve tired of the low-rent (yet addictive) bars of Frei Caneca and Largo do Arouche, set sail to Bela Vista and visit Club Yacht. The Brazilian magazine Veja describes Yacht’s clientele as “modernists, fashionistas, and the beautiful people.” In general, you can find a young, hetero-friendly crowd of paulistanos and hip visitors.
Every quarta-feira (Portguese for “Wednesday”) the Lux party fills Club Yacht with creative pop music mixes and an extra-trendy crowd. Cocktails are great at any of the club’s three bars staffed by bartenders decked out in French sailor uniforms. The maritime theme extends all of Yacht’s dance floors and smoking area.
There is one big downside of partying at Club Yacht: the price tag. You may need a sea sickness pill when you are presented with the bill at the end of the night.
