Largo do Arouche , downtown São Paulo’s gay-friendly neighborhood, continues its rapid transformation into a tourist-friendly destination thanks to small businessmen like the owners of the newly opened RomeoRomeo Café.
“Torta salgada” More than just coffee The gayest cake of all Warm & fresh cookies Come inside!
In terms of food and drinks, RomeoRomeo offers the basics (like espresso, brigadeiro sweets, and chocolate chip cookies,) plus more extravagant treats (like slices of a gay pride-inspired rainbow layered cake, and a delightful savory creation with eggplant, cheese, and walnuts.) There are also several vegan alternatives on the menu.
RomeoRomeo Café is housed within a duplex storefront. Customers are welcome to grab a stool at the window or a table past the glass display of goodies. Up the café’s spiral staircase, visitors will find a small intimate environment with more seating.
Service is fast and friendly, especially from any of the handsome, bearish, baristas and co-owners.
